Election of tropical freshwater fish for your aquarium First
Setting up the first tank can be exciting, but there are plenty of options for not least of which is choosing to tropical freshwater fish that get along and thrive in your tank. A novice aquarist needs fish that are fairly resistant and easy care. Fortunately, there are plenty of beautiful and exciting tropical fish that fit the bill.
the first time aquarium owner might be prudent start with guppies. Sometimes you can find as juveniles and buy inexpensive but juveniles are rather boring to see you may want to go with an adult fish probably only cost a couple bucks anyway.
Guppies are great starter fish because they are very social and get along with most other fish that want to put your tank. This is one of the easiest fish to care for and are so resistant that it can often find that they are reproducing in writing your tank without either even try.
Another great tropical freshwater fish for the beginner is the tetra. The fish on the small side and like to stay in school so they can make a sample well in your tank if you have seven or nine of them swarming together. They like being in a school of six or more fish and fish are good community that rarely behave aggressively with other fish.
If you are looking for large tropical fish for your tank and could think of investing in the gourami. these fish should be purchased for two two - a male and a female, males are aggressive to each other. That said, it is important to note that not acting aggressively towards other fish so having a man and a woman is very good and are fairly easy to care.
Slugs can be a tropical fish of interest to add to your tank, but you will have to be careful because some of them like to bury themselves in the gravel and you'll never see things below! usually get along well with other fish and, with the exception of Yoyo loach be kept in pairs. If you want to keep your loachs happy, however, you will need to provide some decorations for them to hide in.
There are many different types of barbed which can be very beautiful and very easy to maintain, but you will not want to put them in a tank if you are expecting to have fish with fans long as guppies or angelfish long tail from the beard as to bite and grind the fins. If you are considering having Spikes what to buy leased it to the way they like being in groups.
unfortunately some of the more exotic freshwater tropical fish like angelfish are not so easy to keep on you may want to wait on you are more experience. Angelfish, while its delicate appearance, in fact I can be fierce and the smaller fish. Moreover, many types of fish like to shred their fins so that they themselves can be attacked on the basis of the other fish you have. One solution, of course, is to have only angel in your tank. Anyway, are the most happy when they are in a group of two or more fish.
